Hot Temperature Fish Faint
Several migrant workers were boiling fish near the river bank in Changsha city on this morning. Hu, one migrant worker said, there are large amount of fish floating on the surface of river around 5am this morning. “The water is shallow, the fish don’t move, I can pick them up just using hand.”
However, many people don’t know the reason for this phenomenon, so one side they want to eat the fish, another side, they are not sure if it is safe to eat it.
Xu Dajian, a staff from Fishing Supervision and Management Center of Changsha city traveled to investigate this issue. According to their initial judgment, the reason was possibly because of lack of oxygen.
Xu said, It’s been very hot recently, and the air pressure is low, quantity of oxygen in water is low. After the rain yesterday, the mud in the bottom of river is stirred into water, resulting in eutrophication, this fastened the decomposition of organic matter in water and consume lots of oxygen. “The water quality is not very good, we don’t recommend people eat the fish,” he said.
